GHSCF will provide awareness about SCD to local community citizens. We shall accomplish this need by organizing conferences, workshops, seminars, blood run, blood drive, 5 mile run for hope etc.
At GHSCF we strongly believe that in order to achieve real success across the African continent, the grassroots community leaders must be part of the process of creating awareness and educating them about SCD. Hence, GHSCF will constantly educate more and more community leaders, and teachers in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions about sickle cell disease. Mentors with health care background will also be provided at the local level to help follow-up by constantly creating the awareness in the community.
GHSCF will serve and help the African women who have SCD child(ren) by empowering them through value-centered programs of hope, which will in-turn enable them to inculcate the same value of hope to their SCD children. This will be achieved by spiritually supporting, educating and equipping the women with skills and tools in caring for their SCD children and by prayers.
